Here is an update just in from Aaron Snell at Everett Police regarding the shooting Memorial Day that sent a 16-year-old boy to the hospital.

Detectives with the Major Crimes Unit continue investigating Monday’s shooting incident in the 8000 block of Beverly Blvd that left a 16 year-old male in critical condition.

Initial 911 calls reported a road rage incident between two vehicles in the area of Casino Rd and Evergreen Way while additional callers said gunshots were fired on Beverly Blvd between vehicles with the same descriptions.

Based on the investigation, detectives now believe the incident was not a random road rage situation but started earlier as a gang related confrontation. The timeline is not clear and remains under investigation.
The 16 year-old remains hospitalized. There will be no additional updates on his status.

The white SUV or truck has not been identified or located.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Everett Police Department TIP LINE at (425) 257-8450.
