Everett Police detectives had to call out divers after the body of a man was discovered in a swamp between the railroad tracks and Interstate 5 early Thursday afternoon. The area is off of Eclipse Mill Road just west of where a major townhouse development is under construction. Very few details are available but here’s what we know so far from a press release issued by Everett Police a short time ago.

Detectives with the Major Crimes Unit are investigating the circumstances surrounding a homicide victim found in the City of Everett.

On April 7, 2016, at approximately 12 pm, a witness reported seeing a body in the 3400 block of Eclipse Mill Rd. Responding officers located the body of an adult male partially submerged in a swamp. Once recovered, it appeared the male died of homicidal means.

The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office took custody of the body, and will determine the cause and manner of death, as well as his identity.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Everett Police Department TIP LINE at (425) 257-8450 or Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound at 1-800-222-TIPS.
