If you come and go on 529 or Interstate 5 between Everett and Marysville here’s important road closure and detour information for you for this weekend.

Road Closure Advisory for Everett Half Marathon on Sunday, April 10

Formerly the Heroes Half Marathon happens this Sunday.

The Everett Half Marathon is taking place this Sunday, April 10, 2016 along the Everett waterfront and into North Marysville. The race will begin and end at Jetty Landing Park in the Port of Everett’s North Marina, located adjacent to the boat launch. The race route includes temporary road closures along West Marine View Drive/SR 529, as well as along Craftsman Way and 13th Street (formerly Port Gardner Way). ANTICIPATED ROAD CLOSURES – APRIL 10, 2016:

  • The Everett Half Marathon race route will close the Port of Everett’s Craftsman Way and 13th Street (formerly Port Gardner Way) for approximately 15 minutes from 7:55 a.m. – 8:10 a.m. Once all participants reach West Marine View Drive, the roadways will re-open to traffic.
  • Beginning at 18th Street and West Marine View Drive into North Marysville, the northbound lanes of West Marine View Drive/SR 529 will be closed to traffic beginning from 7:45 a.m. to approximately 9:30 a.m.

Note: Road closures and detour routes will be marked. Local law enforcement will be on the race route to assist with traffic management and access related to emergency response will be available as necessary.

**DRIVER ALERT** Friday, April 8, to the morning of Saturday, April 9 – One lane of northbound I-5 at 116th Street Northeast will be closed at 8:30 p.m. for bridge demolition work. Two lanes will close at 11:30 p.m. All lanes will be closed from 12:01 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. A signed detour via the 116th Street Northeast off-ramp and on-ramp will be in place. All lanes will reopen by 9 a.m.

Friday, April 8, to the morning of Sunday, April 10 – The left lane of southbound I-5 at 116th Street Northeast will be closed from 8:30 p.m. to 9 a.m. nightly for bridge demolition work.

Friday, April 8, to the morning of Saturday, April 9 – All lanes in both directions of 116th Street Northeast at I-5 will be closed from 11:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. for bridge demolition work.

Saturday, April 9, to the morning of Sunday, April 10 – All lanes in both directions of 116th Street Northeast at I-5 will be closed from 11 p.m. to 8 a.m. for bridge demolition work.

Monday, April 11, to the morning of Friday, April 15 – Up to two lanes of northbound I-5 at 116th Street Northeast will be closed nightly for falsework removal work beginning with one lane at 7 p.m. All lanes will reopen by 6 a.m.
