Refrigerated trucks have been brought in along with portable generators as crews from Snohomish PUD work to restore power to the Fred Meyer Store at 8530 Evergreen Way in Everett. According to Bob Bolerjack with Snohomish PUD there was a fault in a primary underground feeder line to the store and a small strip mall on the southwest corner of Casino and Evergreen Way. The problem was discovered around 8:00am and crews worked throughout the day to isolate the issue in the underground system. Fred Meyer officials ended up closing the store. We’ve put in a call to the corporate office for further details. Bolerjack says they should have power restored this evening.
