Tonight the Everett Silvertips (49-21-2-3) take on the Portland Winterhawks (54-15-4-1) at 7pm tonight in Game 3 of the 2nd Round of the Western Hockey League Playoffs.
The first two games in Portland were blowouts. The Winterhawks beat the Silvertips 8-2 in game one, then 6-1 in game two. Tonight will be Everett’s first chance to play in front of their home crowd.
The Portland Winterhawks are undefeated in the playoffs so far (6-0), but in the regular season, the Silvertips were able to beat the Winterhawks twice, both coming at home games. One of the games was even a shutout, which only happened to the Winterhawks one other time this season.
