New Year’s Reminders For Everett, Washington

December 31, 2023

Everett

It’s pretty straight forward but here are a few reminders for New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day in Everett, Washington.

  • Fireworks are illegal in the Everett City limits (including sparklers and sky lanterns)
  • Don’t call 911 to report illegal use of fireworks, call the non-emergency line at (425) 407-3999 and save 911 for actual fires and emergencies
  • Have a dedicated driver for those trips if you’ve been drinking or call a ride share service.
  • Everett Transit is free to ride on New Year’s Eve.
  • Kitchen fires are common during celebrations. Don’t leave things unattended on the stove.
  • Monday January 1st is a holiday and most all government offices and services are closed.
  • Garbage collection and recycling pick up will be one day late all week.
  • Have a safe and happy New Year!
