Word in from Everett Police about an arrest earlier this week where multiple weapons were taken from a felony assault suspect. There’ their update:
Earlier this week, members of our Anti-Crime Team (ACT) spotted a male who had been involved in several shooting incidents within Everett this past year at a Central Everett business. The male had a suspended driver’s license and a misdemeanor warrant. As he drove away from the business, ACT attempted to stop the vehicle, but the male fled at high speeds. Probable cause was developed for Driving While License Suspended 3rd Degree (DWLS 3) and Eluding.A day later, the male was again observed in his vehicle pulling into a North Everett gas station. ACT blocked the vehicle in a parking spot; the male was observed dropping a pistol onto the floorboard of the vehicle when officers approached. The male was then arrested on the previously established probable cause for DWLS 3 and Eluding. An additional pistol, which had a switch to make it automatic, was found inside the vehicle, the pistol the male had initially dropped onto the floorboard was later discovered to be stolen.
The male was then booked on two counts of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm 1st Degree and DWLS 3 and one count each of: Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Attempt to Elude and Possession of a dangerous weapon.
Outstanding job by the ACT team in helping to keep our City safe!
