Everett Police Chief John DeRousse has tapped Captain Jeff Hendrickson to fill his former position as Deputy Police Chief in Everett, Washington. Here’s the official word out late this afternoon.

Everett Police Chief John DeRousse has selected Captain Jeff Hendrickson to serve as Deputy Chief beginning Sunday, December 3rd. This new appointment comes after the recent promotion of Chief John DeRousse following the retirement of former Chief Dan Templeman. In his new role, Deputy Chief Hendrickson will oversee the Operations Bureau of the department.

“I am pleased to announce the selection of Jeff Hendrickson to serve as the new deputy chief of our police department,” says Chief John DeRousse. “Through Jeff’s hard work and dedication, he earned the admiration and respect of his peers, as well as community members and the business community. I have no doubt that he will continue to promote our agency’s vision as a leader in law enforcement.”

Deputy Chief Hendrickson has been with the Everett Police Department for over 26 years. He has served in a variety of assignments to include patrol, Anti-Crime Team, traffic unit and marine unit. His most recent role as Captain included overseeing operations at the north precinct. Deputy Chief Hendrickson graduated from Washington State University with a BA in Criminal Justice.
