Everett Economy

Last week we told you they were hiring and today we’ve received a press release from the folks at Chick-fil-A that their location at West Mall Drive and Everett Mall Way will open Thursday December 7th. Here’s the release.

Everett Chick-fil-A

Chick-fil-A will open its first location in Everett, Washington on Thursday December 7th.

A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the Everett community on Thursday, December 7. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Brandon Ediger as the independent franchised Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Everett Mall.

Located at 1124 SE Everett Mall Way, Chick-fil-A Everett Mall will be open for dine-in, drive-thru and carry-out from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Guests of Chick-fil-A Everett Mall can also place an order for pickup or dine-in on the Chick-fil-A® App or online. The new restaurant will feature a dedicated entrance for Mobile Carryout, as well as Mobile Thru, a fully dedicated lane in the drive-thru where guests can pick up orders placed on the Chick-fil-A App. When joining the Chick-fil-A One® tiered membership program, guests receive points on every qualifying purchase which can be used to redeem available rewards.

This is the first Chick-fil-A restaurant in Everett, joining 17 Chick-fil-A restaurants serving the wider Seattle-Tacoma market.

Locally Owned and Operated
As full-time, hands-on leaders in their restaurants and communities, Chick-fil-A local Owner-Operators proudly reside in the areas in which they serve.

In Everett, Ediger will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 110 full- and part-time Team Members, serving guests and cultivating relationships with local organizations and businesses.

The classic question “where are you from?” makes Ediger smile, as he was born in Dallas, Texas, and then traveled the world as a child with his missionary parents. While stateside, he first experienced Chick-fil-A on a family vacation in North Carolina, followed by fond memories of attending restaurant openings throughout the Southeast during college.

After graduation, Ediger spent several years in non-profit work and later as a pastor. With a heart for service and eager to learn more about the restaurant industry, Ediger was afforded the opportunity to join the leadership team of Chick-fil-A Totem Lake in Kirkland, where he supported the restaurant’s opening and later served as the General Manager.

Ediger and his family have lived in the Everett area for over half a decade, and as the local Owner-Operator, he looks forward to the many ways his restaurant can feel like home to his Team Members and Guests.

“I’ve had such special associations with Chick-fil-A as a Guest, but I never expected that Chick-fil-A would become such an important part of my life, both personally and professionally,” said Ediger. “I am so grateful to be taking this next step as a local Owner-Operator in a community that means so much to me and my family. I want this restaurant to be a place where people make wonderful memories and where there’s care on both sides of the counter.”

Caring for the Everett Community
In celebration of the opening, Chick-fil-A, Inc. will donate $25,000 to Feeding America in honor of the new restaurant. These funds will be distributed to partners in the greater Everett area to aid in the fight against hunger.

In addition, Chick-fil-A Everett Mall is recognizing 100 local heroes making an impact in the Everett area by providing them with free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year.

Ediger’s restaurant will plan to participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, an initiative that redirects surplus food from the restaurant to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need. To date, more than 23 million meals have been created from Chick-fil-A Shared Table donations from nearly 2,000 Chick-fil-A restaurants throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Team Member Investment
Chick-fil-A Operators are committed to hiring, developing and retaining top talent and providing a positive work environment for people of all ages and backgrounds. Team Members have opportunities for flexible work hours and leadership growth, competitive pay and benefits, hands-on training and mentoring and the chance to apply for scholarships to support their continuing education. To-date, Chick-fil-A has awarded 252 scholarships in Washington, totaling over $562,000 to support continued education for its Team Members.

Delicious Food; Outstanding Customer Service
Chick-fil-A is known for creating a welcoming, remarkable restaurant experience, serving customers great-tasting food made with high-quality ingredients, including the original Chick-fil-A® Chicken Sandwich. Made with a real, whole, boneless breast of chicken with no added fillers, the breaded chicken is pressure cooked in fully-refined peanut oil. Chick-fil-A was one of the first in the industry to eliminate chicken raised with antibiotics to ensure guests have an option for high-quality food on the go.

To complement the great-tasting chicken, fresh produce is delivered to Chick-fil-A restaurants up to six times a week for the best quality and flavor. The fresh ingredients are raised and grown by farmers who share the company’s elevated quality and safety standards, so guests feel good about their meal.
