Bail Raised To $5 Million Dollars For South Everett Shooting Suspect

An Everett Court Judge today found probable cause to hold a 20-year-old Bothell man who was arrested by police in Everett, Washington Saturday night on suspicion of 1st degree murder.

The judge also raised bail on the suspect to $5 million dollars. The Snohomish county Prosecutor’s Office now has three days to file formal charges or release the man from custody.

Major Crimes Detectives, members of Everett Police Department’s Anti-Crime Team and the Violent Crime Unit all worked over the weekend and are continuing to follow up leads on the shooting which happened about 6:40 AM Friday morning in the 7700 block of Hardeson Road.

Gun violence has increased recently in Everett. In addition to Friday’s shooting, Everett Police and Snohomish county Sheriff’s Deputies have responded to multiple calls involving firearms and juveniles over the past week and on August 23rd, two adult neighbors in the north Everett area were killed following an altercation involving a single handgun.
