Shooting In Lynnwood Ends With Chase And Manhunt In Everett

The suspect vehicle crashed into another at 37th and Rucker.

After the crash at 37th and Rucker the vehicle ran through a fence at Sequoia High School and 4 suspects fled. One has been arrested.

Initial Report 5:15 AM: Still trying to work out all of the details but an early morning shooting at a convenience store in north Lynnwood ended with a high-speed chase and crash in Everett, Washington.

One person was arrested and three are outstanding. The K-9 track has been concluded and deputies are conducting an investigation in the area of Sequoia High School near 35th and Rucker.

Here’s preliminary information from the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.

One male suspect is in custody following an early morning shooting in Lynnwood. Around 2:50 a.m., deputies responded to reports of a shooting outside 7-11 on 148th St SW. Upon arrival, they located the victim, an adult male, with a gunshot wound to his leg. He was transported by aid to Providence Regional Medical Center.

During the investigation, deputies learned four male suspects were inside the convince store stealing items. A concerned citizen was arriving to also shop at 7-11 and attempted to intervene. The four suspects fled the scene and fired shots towards the victim as they fled. The victim was shot in the leg while in the parking lot.

Shortly after, the suspect vehicle was located in Lynnwood and a pursuit was initiated. The pursuit went into Everett where the suspect vehicle crashed into an unoccupied civilian car near 35th and Grand Ave.

A foot pursuit began and deputies captured one male suspect. He is in custody.

Three male suspects are outstanding and a K-9 track is currently ongoing in Everett near 35th and Grand Ave.

This remains an active investigation.
