Judge Bruce Weiss sent the jury home for the weekend after three hours of deliberations Friday afternoon.
The members of the jury are deciding the fate of the man whose own defense attorneys admitted killed Everett Police Officer Dan Rocha on March 25th last year. That man did not take the stand.
The jury is being asked to decide the man’s guilt and also if his actions were premeditated. He’s charged with aggravated 1st degree murder and if convicted would face life in prison without parole. If convicted of anything lesser, he would face much less time in jail.
We’ll let you know when a verdict has been reached.
