529 Bridge Between Marysville & Everett To Shut Down Sunday Morning For Marathon

A heads up if you normally use 529 between Marysville and Everett, Washington. Here’s a not from WSDOT.

I-5 would be a better plan between Marysville and Everett Sunday morning.

People who normally use State Route 529 between Everett and Marysville will need to alter plans Sunday, April 2. From 7 a.m. to noon all lanes of northbound SR 529 from the Port of Everett to downtown Marysville will close for the Mill Town Marathon running event. A single lane of southbound SR 529 will also be closed.
Closure details
• All lanes of northbound SR 529 between 13th Street in Everett and 1st Street in Marysville (mileposts 2.73-6.5) will be closed.
• All access including ramps to and from northbound SR 529 will be closed.
• A single lane on southbound SR 529 between 1st Street in Marysville and Seiner Drive in Everett will also be closed.
Signed detours will be in place. People who use northbound SR 529 between Everett and Marysville should use alternate routes. People using southbound SR 529 between Marysville and Everett should expect delays and proceed cautiously past the coned-off lane for runners.

Editor’s Note: Boaters and others heading to or from the waterfront at the Port of Everett should also be aware of traffic issues on Marine View Drive between 7:00AM and Noon on Sunday.
