Skagit-Island County SMART Team To Investigate Officer Involved Shooting In Everett, Washington

Editor’s Update 1:15 PM:Everett Police say one of their officers and also Snohomish County Deputies were involved in the shooting. Still waiting on any word from Skagit-Island County SMART Team.

11:00 AM: To avoid any conflict of interest the Skagit and Island County Multiple Agency Response Team is being called to Everett, Washington to investigate an officer involved shooting that occurred in south Everett early Saturday morning.

MyEverettNews.com is waiting on a briefing or press release from the Skagit/Island County SMART Team which may not happen for several hours.

The only information MyEverettNews.com has confirmed is there was a call to the area of 91st SW and Sharon drive in south Everett late Friday night.

Everett Police and Snohomish County Sheriff’s Deputies responded and the Region 1 SWAT Team was called out.

There was a report of shots fired and a suspect down shortly before 1:30 AM.

No law enforcement officers were injured. We have no information on who fired shots, how many shots there were or any other details.

We are waiting on further information and will update when that has been received.
