Everett Police Investigating Shots Call, Deceased Male At Riverside Business Park

Editor’s Update 3:30 PM: Everett Police Say First Homicide Of 2023 Was A Domestic Incident That Led To A Murder Suicide. Here’s the release out from Everett Police on this morning’s homicide.

Major Crimes detectives are investigating an apparent domestic incident that resulted in a murder-suicide leaving the believed suspect and one other person deceased.

This morning, just before 4:30 a.m., dispatch received a 911 call from 607 Riverside Drive in which the caller stated there was an unresponsive male with blood on his head inside of a vehicle.

When officers arrived at the location, they discovered a deceased male with apparent gunshot wounds inside of a vehicle.

Through investigation, officers identified a suspect and suspect vehicle which matched the descriptions given for a suicidal subject that was called in to 911 prior to this incident. The vehicle was soon found unoccupied in the 500 block of West Marine View Drive.

A search for the suspect was conducted using a K-9 and a drone. A call later came into 911 of a body in the water in the 1700 block of West Marine View Drive. The body was found to be that of an adult male with an apparent gunshot wound. He is believed to be the suicidal male as well as the suspect in the earlier homicide.


Major Crimes detectives are still investigating the incident, but the suspect is believed to be one of the deceased.

Everett Police spent a considerable amount of time in the area of the 500 block of W. Marine View Drive including calling in their Marine Unit.

Editor’s Update 1:00 PM: Everett Police confirm this is a homicide investigation.

Detectives with Everett Police have been at the Riverside Business Park for more than 7 hours and have also searched a second scene on West Marine View Drive that may be connected to this case.

We expect additional information late this afternoon.

There are several businesses in the complex including Amazon, InFarm and the Great Little Box Co.

Initial Report 8:00 AM: Just after 4:30 this morning Police in Everett, Washington were sent to a suspicious circumstances call at a building in the 700 block of Riverside Road.

Callers reported hearing gunshots and finding an unresponsive male in a vehicle parked outside the building.

Arriving officers confirmed the male was deceased and called in the Major Crimes Unit. Detectives have been on-scene all morning.
