1:15 PM Update:
Here’s a report from Everett Fire on some of the incidents they responded to over the weekend.
On the night of the storm, Everett Firefighters on B-shift received 181 dispatches in their 24-hour shift; 122 calls were from just after 7 pm until shift change at 8 am Saturday morning.After the storm, C-shift responded to 116 calls for service from Saturday through Sunday morning.
In addition to reports of trees and wires down, here are a few of the more significant calls they responded to:
11/4 11:36 pm – TR5 and M1 responded to a mutual aid request on Marine Drive in Marysville for a female trapped under a tree after a tree fell through her trailer. The Female was extricated, and Medic 1 transported her to the hospital with significant injuries.
11/4 11:51 pm – E4 dispatched to a Wetmore address for a tree on a house. No injuries.
11/5 05:24 am – E4, E6, L1, M5 dispatched to a Merrill Creek Pkwy address for a report of an intoxicated adult male who jumped from a railing and fell 15 feet down a cliff. Arriving crews found the patient at the base of a concrete retaining wall. The patient was loaded into a stokes basket, and L1 lifted him over the railing to waiting firefighters. M5 transported the subject to Providence Hospital with a back injury.
11/5 5:39 pm – Crews dispatched to Merrill Creek Pkwy for a burn patient whose clothes caught fire while cooking. Units found an adult female outside the apartments with significant burns to the upper half of the body and a wrist injury. The patient was transported to Harborview.
11/5 6:02 pm – Garage Fire on Oakes. Live power lines over a detached garage catching the structure on fire. PUD arrived and secured the power so firefighters could extinguish the fire.
11/5 11:30 pm – Commercial Fire on Colby Ave at an apartment complex for a report of a kitchen fire. Firefighters found a cardboard pizza box on top of the oven had caught fire. No injuries.
