The Pandemic slowed things down but permits were pulled in December of 2021 and the first business, Glint Car Wash is now open. It’s a soft opening right now with a big grand opening set for November 2nd.
We had a chance to talk with General Manager Raj Mehta last week who gave us a tour and said their top priorities were the environment and customer service.
“We reclaim our water saving ninety percent of water in the tunnel and keeping it out of the storm drains,” he told us during our visit. “We also are the first car wash in the area to generate our own power with solar panels.”
He added Glint Car Wash does not use harsh chemicals and their equipment is state of the art.
The tunnel is one of the longest in the area at 40 feet long and uses an employee to pre-wash at the beginning and finishes with 16 blowers to dry vehicles.
The location offers two dozen free vacuums and three levels of service, basic, select and premiere. They also offer monthly memberships with a car wash every day of the month and a license plate scanner that allows customers to just drive up without dealing with payment or cashier so you can speed right through.
Raj tells us they have not had trouble finding employees. “We work hard to develop a good culture and promote from within,” he said.
“We want people to be happy at work and are flexible in our scheduling.”
Raj started at the first Glint location in Kent, went to Marysville as a shift manager and was promoted to General Manager for the Everett location which is the third in the Puget Sound area with more planned.
You can learn more about all of the Glint Car Wash services on their website.
Next door to the Glint Car Wash, Woods Coffee is about to open their first-ever drive thru location this Friday, (October 28th).
They also have a full-service sit down and drive-thru store under construction at Port Gardner Landing in the south end of Waterfront Place at the Port of Everett.
At last word, the third business at that location, Sonic Drive In, is expected to open sometime near the end of November. We’ll let you know when that firms up.
