Vouchers Available For Seniors To Use For Fruit And Produce At Area Farmers Markets

As Farmers Markets open this Sunday in Everett, Washington and elsewhere around the area Snohomish County is accepting applications from seniors to participate in the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program. Here are the details and a link to the application.

Seniors may enjoy up to $40 worth of fresh produce or vegetables.

Snohomish County announces that applications for the 2022 Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) are being accepted! SFMNP provides eligible low-income seniors with vouchers worth at minimum $40 to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables at participating farmers markets or farm stands, subject to availability. Apply now! Applications are being reviewed and vouchers will be awarded to eligible applicants on a first-come, first-served basis.

Eligible low-income seniors receive $40 worth of vouchers to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables at authorized farmers markets or farm stands.

The application period ends July 15, 2022

Who Is Eligible?
Age 60+ for non-Native Americans
Age 55+ for Native Americans
Low income
Up to $2,096/ month for 1 person
Up to $2,823/month for 2 people
For larger households, add $728 per person
Funds are limited so a random selection process may be used to select recipients.

Applications are available online in English and will be available in Spanish, Vietnamese, Chinese, Korean, Tagalog, Amharic, Tigrinya and Russian soon. Google Translate is also available.
