A felony suspect wanted by Everett Police refused to come out of a house on 75th Street Sunday afternoon leading Everett Police to shut down 75th Street SE and also Broadway from 74th to 77th while they worked to get a peaceful resolution.
Around 4:30 PM Everett Police responded to a report of a wanted person inside a house on 75th street east of Broadway in south Everett.
Officers contacted the person who advised they were not going to come out of the house.
Because of reports the person may be armed both 75th street and Broadway were shut down while police dealt with the person. The Region 1 SWAT team was called out and the other people in the house were evacuated.
People who lived in Valley View were rerouted from 75th street but were able to access that neighborhood via a detour to the north of the closure.
After about three hours the suspect surrendered to Everett Police and was taken into custody and booked into the Snohomish County Jail. There were no injuries.
