Archbishop Murphy High Releases Another Student-Made Feature Film

Last night it premiered and tonight there’s another chance to a feature-length original film from students at Everett’s Archbishop Murphy High School. Here are the details.

This is the second full-length feature film produced by the students.

Archbishop Murphy High School presents the original film “Bridgehurst Asylum for the Sane.”

Archbishop Murphy High School in has been producing plays and musicals that have entertained audiences for over 25 years.  They are pleased to announce their second full length original film, “Bridgehurst Asylum for the Sane”.

“A young woman is wrongfully incarcerated in an asylum and discovers an institution driven by control, manipulation and greed.  With the help of her young suitor and others in the Asylum, she brings to light the reprehensible and hidden activities that have gone unnoticed.”

AMHS has produced this film while maintaining strict adherence to COVID limitations.  The creativity of the film and the unique conditions and requirements for filming proved to be a challenge, but the results are exceptional.  Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students.  Please consider the film PG-13 as there is some violence and intense scenes.

“Bridgehurst Asylum for the Sane” will have a formal premier at the Historic Everett Theatre (2911 Colby, Everett) on April 8th at 7:00 with an additional showing on April 9th at 7:00.   Concessions are available!

Additional showings at local theatres will also be forthcoming.  DVDs with many special features will also be available.
