Initial Update 11:15 AM:

Major Crimes Detectives with the Everett Police Department are at an apartment complex investigating an apparent homicide this morning. The investigation is in the early stages but here’s what we know so far from Everett Police Spokesman Kerby Duncan.

Just before 10:30 AM Police received multiple reports of a stabbing at an apartment complex in the 3100 block of Oakes Avenue near downtown Everett, Washington.

Arriving officers found a woman with a stab wound in an exterior courtyard and began rendering assistance. Medics arrived and rushed that person to the hospital.

Duncan tells MyEverettNews.com a second stabbing victim, a male was located deceased inside an apartment unit at the complex.

Police are searching for a suspect and even brought in a drone. Duncan says this does not not appear to be a random incident.

Everett Police are expected to be working in the area for several hours. No word at this time on the condition of the woman who was stabbed.

We’ll update as more information becomes available.
