This in late Wednesday afternoon from Everett Police.

Recently our patrol officers noticed an increase in burglaries of restaurants and businesses in the downtown area. While investigating these crimes they noted that they often had a similar method of entry, the suspect would break or unlock small windows up high and climb through them.

During one investigation the business had high quality cameras and officers were able to clearly to see the suspect and his clothing. Yesterday Officer Palacol was patrolling the downtown core when he recognized the suspect since he was still wearing the same clothing from the video.

Officer Palacol detained the suspect and when interviewed by our Property Crimes Detectives the suspect admitted to 16 burglaries!

Great work by our patrol officers for identifying the suspect, by Officer Palacol for finding him, and by our Property Crimes Unit for tying 16 cases together!
