Got a heads up from Lacrisha Brown at Hand in Hand that they have several openings in an after-school club for kids who live within the boundaries of the Everett or Mukilteo School Districts.

Kids in the Mind-Crafting Club recently took a field trip to Mt. Rainier. Photo credit: Hand-In-Hand.
Here’s an overview of some of the activities Brown provided to MyEverettNews.com via email.
Club Curiosity and Mind-Crafting club focus on S.T.E.A.M activities (science, technology, engineering, art, and math). Hand in Hand believes it’s important for all children to have access to S.T.E.A.M activities, regardless of socioeconomic barriers. Over the past year we have participated in art contests, snowshoeing, created suncatchers, designed t-shirts, and started a community clean up with the focus on the Casino Road neighborhood. And these are just a few examples.
From 4pm-5pm we focus on activities involving S.T.E.A.M activities and from 5pm-6pm we focus on nutrition, children involved in club are also eligible for wrap around services. For the month of March, both clubs will be focusing on electricity! We are excited to be entering the Snohomish County PUD art contest. We will also be creating our own flashlights and powering a clock with potatoes and lemons!
Last month the kids in the Mind-Crafting Club took a field trip to Mount Rainier. For more information you can check out their website here or call the office at 425-374-2461.
