Everett Firefighters Battle Blaze In Detached Garage On Beverly Lane

A large column of smoke could be seen for blocks.

Firefighters work to gain access to the garage.

Firefighters begin cutting vent holes in the roof of the garage.

The fire quickly dies down as crews hit it from below.

Shortly after eight o’clock this morning Everett Firefighters were called to the 7200 block of Beverly Lane in Everett for reports of a garage on fire.

Arriving engines reported a large column of smoke could be seen as they approached the area. People living in the house next to the garage were able to get out safely and there were no injuries.

Firefighters kept the fire contained to the detached garage which suffered extensive damage.

Investigators from Everett Fire are on scene now working to determine the cause.
