Everett, WA (March 3, 2022) Camp Fire Snohomish County is pleased to announce the appointment of Krissy Davis as its new Executive Director, effective March 21, 2022.

As a long-time Camp Fire member, volunteer and Snohomish County resident, Ms. Davis provides a wealth of knowledge and extensive leadership experience.

Previous Executive Director Jim Stephanson states, “I am confident that the hiring committee made a great choice. Krissy’s long-time leadership as a Camp Fire volunteer, and her management experience coupled with her success developing effective teams in the banking industry will provide a strong match for the skills needed to support the Camp Fire organization as well as its multi- generational families.”

As EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR and in partnership with the Board, Davis will actively promote Camp Fire’s Promise/Mission, philosophy, and programs. The goal is extending beneficial collaborations with the general public and organizations in our community. This is done by sharing the Camp Fire Promise and Thrive(ology). ‘Young people want to shape the world. Camp Fire provides the opportunity to find their spark, lift their voice, and discover who they are’.

“I’m excited beyond words for this great opportunity to lead Camp Fire with its long and storied history of over 100 years serving Snohomish County families,” expresses Davis.

As a person who was shaped from an early age as a Camp Fire member, camper at Killoqua, and as a long-time volunteer leader for Camp Fire clubs, she was directly involved with delivering services

to Youth. Davis has served on the Camp Fire Snohomish County Board of Directors for the past 14 years and is currently its Board President. She is a product of the leadership development provided by Camp Fire programs and thus is uniquely qualified to understand the needs of the membership and to now lead the organization.

Davis’s resume includes over 17-years of business in Snohomish County. As Team Lead and Disclosure Specialist for HomeStreet Bank, she supervised dozens of employees to ensure that hundreds of loans monthly met regulatory requirements and that lending practices were fair and equitable. Davis understands a strong healthy business climate is essential for a community’s vitality.

Davis has served many other non-profit groups, having served on the Boards of North Creek HS Baseball Booster Club, Jackson Aquatics Booster Club, and West Coast Aquatics Swim Team, as well as many other volunteer positions. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington State University majoring in Communications with minors in Business Administration and Political Science.

“The hiring committee consisted of 3 past board presidents, the president elect, board secretary, two employees and myself as the current board treasurer,” states Scott James. “The eight of us were delighted by the depth and breadth of the applications we had the privilege of reviewing. After many interviews and countless robust conversations, we are thrilled that Krissy Davis has agreed to be our new EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR.”

James continues, “Retiring executive director, Jim Stephanson, has exemplified sound leadership, fiscal acuity, and strong relationships within all areas of Camp Fire Snohomish County for the past 4 years and will continue to provide guidance and direction.”
