Haz-Mat Drill Tuesday At Naval Station Everett

May 10, 2021

A heads-up for unusual activity Tuesday at Naval Station Everett.

There may be some slight delays at the gate.

Naval Station Everett will be conducting a hazardous material training exercise at the Everett main base Tuesday, May 11. The exercise is scheduled to occur between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m.

Those who access the base regularly should expect intermittent closures at the North and main gates throughout the exercise.

During the exercise, those nearby may hear mass warning announcements from the base’s outdoor speakers.

The exercise will include active emergency response vehicles and coordination with mutual aid partners.

The Navy regularly conducts training exercises to maintain and improve security and emergency response qualifications. These exercises help prepare for a potential real emergency.
