Major Crimes detectives are asking for help locating murder suspect Jesse L. Hartman. Just before 7:00 a.m. on March 21st, officers responded to a collision in the 1000 block of Pecks Dr. where a white Toyota Camry had been struck from behind, rolled over and the suspect vehicle fled the scene.

It was discovered the victim driver, 40 year-old Wyatt Powell of Everett, also had a bullet wound in his head and later died from the injury at a local hospital. During their investigation, detectives located video surveillance, witnesses and the suspect vehicle in an effort to piece together what occurred.

On the morning of the incident, detectives believe Hartman chased, rammed and shot at the Camry because Powell had run into his girlfriend’s car during an earlier encounter. Jesse L Hartman is a White male, 38 years-old, 5’ 7” tall, 150 pounds, with green eyes and blonde hair. He has facial and neck tattoos. Hartman’s current location is unknown.

On Saturday April 3rd, Hartman’s 37 year-old girlfriend was arrested for rendering criminal assistance due to her involvement with hiding evidence from authorities and gathering items so he could flee. Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Jesse L. Hartman is asked to call 911
