600 Gymnasts To Compete In Everett This Month

Events are starting to return to Everett, Washington. This in from the Snohomish County Sports Commission.

There will be limited seats available.

The first major sporting event of 2021 will be the USA Gymnastics Washington 2021 XCEL Gold/Platinum/Diamond State Championship at Angel Of The Winds Arena on April 10-11, 2021. An expected 600 gymnasts from across Washington State including gymnastics clubs from Auburn, Bothell, Ellensburg, Ferndale, Silverdale, Spokane, Tukwila, and Yelm will compete over the two days.

The competition will consist of four sessions on Saturday and three sessions on Sunday. There is limited capacity per session. The two-day event has been designed with capacity limits and safety and sanitation standards to maintain adherence with the State of Washington and Snohomish County Health District.

“Northwest Aerials is excited to be hosting the USA Gymnastics Washington XCEL Gold/Platinum/ Diamond State Competition in Everett, Washington”, said Patti Gable, Northwest Aerials Director. “Since there were no state meets held in 2020, we are glad that, with the help of the Snohomish County Tourism Promotion Area, City of Everett, and Snohomish County Sports Commission, we are able to offer this opportunity to the top XCEL gymnasts in Washington. Following the state Covid policies, we will be offering a safe and exciting event.”

“We are thrilled to once again host fans in our facility and continue our involvement with gymnastics and would like to thank Northwest Aerials and USA Gymnastics Washington for their commitment to ensuring that the youth across our state can compete this year”, said Corey Margolis, Spectra Venue Management’s General Manager at Angel Of The Winds Arena. “Utilizing Spectra’s ‘Together Again!’ plan, we have implemented many policies and procedures to provide our guests an enjoyable, straightforward, familiar—and above all, safe—experience!”
