A heads-up from the Washington State Department of Transportation on closures of westbound 526 from northbound Interstate 5 starting next week.
Westbound travelers taking State Route 526 from Interstate 5 need to plan for overnight detours for several weeks beginning Monday, Sept. 14.
Through the start of October, contractor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will close the ramp from northbound I-5 to westbound SR 526 nightly:
The signed detour will be in place during the closures. Closures will begin at 8 p.m. every night. The westbound SR 526 on-ramp will reopen at 4 a.m. daily, except Sunday mornings, when it will reopen by 9 a.m. Work is expected to last into early October
To reach westbound SR 526 or the Mukilteo ferry terminal during the overnight ramp closure,
DOT says the closures are necessary for expansion joint repairs on the ramp.
