Everett Transit will resume collecting fares for all fixed route and para transit services and the Customer Service Center at Everett Station will reopen beginning July 1.

The Customer Service Center at Everett Station will be open 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and closed from 11:00 a.m. to noon. Customers will be allowed in the lobby one at a time, with exceptions made for customers bringing caregivers or a member of their household.

An emergency ordinance approved on March 25 announced a temporary cessation of fare collection for fixed route and the para transit services. The policy contributed to transit driver safety and alleviated financial hardship due to economic impacts of COVID-19.

New safety measures and best practices to ensure a safe ride

Customers are encouraged to bring a face covering when riding the bus, and when waiting at the bus stop and unable to maintain a 6-foot distance from other customers. Drivers are now protected by a health partition to limit the risk of exposure while collecting fares. Customers should exit through the rear doors to limit interaction with boarding customers.

Everett transit continues its rigorous cleaning protocol on all buses, so customers can travel with confidence.
