Everett Crews Tackle Early Morning Brush Fire
The fire stayed on the west side of the tracks.
The fire was moving down the hillside toward the rail line.
It took multiple crews to get the fire contained.
Hoses, machetes and shovels were all used by crews.
Everett Firefighters were called out to a fast moving brush fire shortly after four o’clock Tuesday morning.
The fire was reported on the east side of Acrowood Manufacturing in the 4300 block of S. 3rd in Lowell.
Grass and underbrush were burning in a wooded area between the plant and the Burlington Northern railroad tracks.
It took about an hour to get out all the hot spots. There were no injuries.
No word yet on a cause.
