Everett City Council Adds Listen By Phone Option For Meetings

Because of social distancing requirements the City Council in Everett, Washington has been meeting remotely. The public has been invited to watch online or on TV but now there is a third way to observe. if you want to comment, that has to be done by email. Here’s more.

The City of Everett’s weekly city council meetings will be conducted remotely to practice social distancing and help minimize the spread of COVID-19.

In response to the Governor Inslee’s “Stay Home, Stay Healthy” order, the council chamber (3002 Wetmore Ave., Everett) will be closed to the public and there will be no physical location for the meetings until further notice.

Everett City Council Meetings will be broadcasted via Everett Channel: channel 21 on Comcast, channel 29 on Frontier and streamed live at everettwa.gov/citycouncil. The public may also access meetings by telephone by calling 425-616-3920 and using conference ID: 724 887 726#. Phone lines will be muted and callers are asked to remain muted during the meeting. Those wishing to provide comment on a matter are encouraged to send comments in writing before the meeting to council@everettwa.gov.

The council meets every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. except the fourth Wednesday of each month, which takes place at 12:30 p.m.
