The PUD Outage Map shows the customers affected.

About 1700 people were without power Monday night after a high voltage power line came down on the Interurban Trail.

The line came down in about the 7400 block of the trail just east of Beverly Boulevard.

Several small fires started along the path where the line came down.

Everett Fire crews blocked off the trail to keep users safe.

The heat from the line set the asphalt on fire in a couple of spots along with some brush.

Everett Fire crews had to wait for Snohomish PUD to arrive to cut power to the line before they could get to work on putting out the spot fires.

There was no major damage but the photos show how dangerous power lines can be and people are advised to stay 30 feet away if coming upon a downed line.
