Patrol officers debrief after an initial search of the area.

Just after 4 a.m. this morning, officers were dispatched to the 6800 block of Lower Ridge Rd on reports of a shooting with multiple people running from the area. Arriving officers found an unoccupied 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander with an unfired pistol cartridge on the ground next to the vehicle. Officers also discovered that multiple houses and nearby vehicles had been struck during the incident. No injuries were reported.
Major Crimes detectives responded to the location to investigate the shooting. Detectives believe a man was having issues with a known subject and threatened to show up at their house to fight. A second male drove the man to the house where the man exited the vehicle holding a pistol. The passenger and several people standing out front got into an argument and a male from the residence produced a firearm as well. Numerous shots were fired by both men before everyone ran from the scene.

The driver, a 29 year-old Everett man, later returned to the house to get his Outlander. He was interviewed by detectives. Based on his involvement, the driver was arrested and booked into the Snohomish County Jail on probable cause for Drive by Shooting.

Detectives also interviewed a 26 year-old Everett woman, who continually provided false information that hindered the investigation. She denied knowing anyone involved in the shooting, but during a search of the house, detectives found evidence showing otherwise. The female was arrested and booked into the Snohomish County Jail for Rendering Criminal Assistance.

Detectives continue investigating the incident. Most other participants have been identified and there is probable cause to arrest several of them. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Everett Police Department Tip Line at 425-257-8450.
