Crime scene tape surrounds a house in Valley View

Everett Police and Providence Hospital Security look over a truck parked next to the hospital on Colby Tuesday evening.

“This is going to take some time to sort out,” said John DeRousse. He’a a Deputy Police Chief in Everett, Washington and was responding to our inquiry after hearing reports of shots fired Tuesday evening.

Major Crimes Detectives have been called out and what we do know is Everett Police were called to a house in the Valley View neighborhood east of 75th street and I-5 around 8 PM to a report of shots fired.

The shooter reportedly left the house and may also have been hit by gunfire. Officers escorted Everett Fire crews in to the house to provide medical support and then had them leave the area immediately as they searched for a suspect.

Medics transported one person to the Hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. A second person was also taken to the hospital by ambulance with an unknown issue.

A short time later hospital security called to say a different person had arrived at the E.R. also with a gunshot wound. That person apparently drove to the hospital and walked into the Emergency Room.

At this point Everett Police say they have three people at the hospital, believed to be different generations of the same family and two of them have non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

We’ll pass along more details as they become available but that might take some time.
