At approximately 7:50 p.m., the local 9-1-1 center received multiple phone calls reporting a house fire in the 4700 W View Drive. Early reports from residents stated flames were showing through a window. As firefighters arrived, they received reports from the neighbors that the homeowner was an elderly female.

While firefighters quickly worked to extinguish the fire, they also conducted a search of the residence and found one deceased victim in the home. On a secondary search, there were no other victims located.

Snohomish County PUD responded to the scene to secure live wires that were down in the front yard of the home. A total of ten Everett Fire apparatus responded to the incident. Everett police responded to the scene to assist with traffic control and to assist with the death investigation. Identification of the victim will be handled by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office and released after the next of kin have been notified.
