Teen Shot Outside South Everett Apartment

Editors’s Update Wednesday 8:55 AM: Here is the latest from Everett Police PIO Aaron Snell.
Just after 8:00 p.m. last night, officers were dispatched to the Cascadia Pointe Apartments (8710 5th Ave W) on the report of multiple shots being heard. Arriving officers located a 17- year-old male near the entrance who had been shot. Officers immediately rendered aid and the teenager was transported to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett where he is in stable condition. Major Crimes Unit detectives responded to investigate and were told the teenager did not know who shot him or why, but the suspect(s) left the area in a vehicle. Several bullet holes were located in a nearby apartment building and residents were contacted to ensure there were no additional injuries. 5th Ave W was closed during the investigation but later opened for normal traffic.

5th Avenue West was shut down for a couple of hours while Everett Police collected evidence.

About 8:10 Tuesday night Everett Police responded to multiple calls of shots fired in the 8700 block of 5th Avenue West. Arriving officers found a teenager had been shot. Medics were called and transported the teen to Providence Regional Medical Center. No word yet on the severity of the injuries to the victim.

In addition to patrol officers, members of the Everett Police Gang Unit and Major Crimes Detectives were seen conducting an investigation of the scene. MyEverettNews.com is waiting for more information from Everett Police and will update when that information becomes available.
