On Friday we reported that Everett Police were investigating a suspicious death. Detectives could be seen working in the wooded area west of Rucker’s tomb down to the driveway off 41st Street to the buildings that include offices for Frontier Communications, The Herald and Everett Clinic.

Today Everett Police issued a brief press release confirming they are investigating the case as a homicide. Yesterday the Snohomish County Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy and identified the victim as 46-year-old Michael T. Boon but did not release the cause and manner of death. Everett Police said they believe Mr. Boon was experiencing homelessness.

Detectives are looking to speak with anyone who may have been with Mr. Boon recently and may know what happened.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Everett Police Department TIP LINE at 425-257-8450 or Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound at 1-800-222-TIPS.
