Car-Pedestrian Crash Shuts Down 116th SE By Silver Lake

Editor’s Update 10:22 PM, Here is an update from the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office:

Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a collision that occurred earlier tonight when a vehicle struck an 8 year-old girl at the 2300 block of 116th St SE around 6 p.m.. The victim, reported to have been unconscious and breathing, was transported to Harborview Regional Medical Center. The driver, a 57 year-old Bothell man, stayed on scene and cooperated with detectives. The cause of the collision remains under investigation, but witnesses reported to detectives that the child ran into the roadway before being struck by a vehicle.

The crash was at the border of Everett and Unincorporated Snohomish County.

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office is handling the investigation.

Not many details but a car-pedestrian crash has 116th SE closed between 19th Ave SE (Hwy 527) and 25th SE just east of Silver Lake in south Everett.

It happened shortly after 6 PM Thursday evening.

The pedestrian was taken by medic unit to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Traffic Investigation Unit is investigating.
