Detectives are seeking assistance from the public regarding the knife used in the 2013 murder of Phillipa Evans-Lopez. The 20 year-old mother was found bound and stabbed to death in her Lake Stevens home on June 17, 2013.

A suspect has been arrested, but detectives have tried and failed to find a knife similar to the one used in the murder. It is a Performance Tool Northwest Trail One Hand Knife.

The knife has not been in production since 2011. The knife used in the murder was recovered and logged into evidence, but detectives are seeking a similar model for forensics tests.

Anyone who owns this make and model of knife is asked to please call the Sheriff’s Office Anonymous Tip Line at 425-388-3845.
