Around five o’clock Saturday afternoon 911 began getting phone calls of a house fire in the 2100 block of Lombard. First arriving Everett Fire Department crews found smoke and flames coming from back side of the house. One woman found outside of the house suffered burns and was taken by medics to Providence Regional Medical Center. The majority of the fire was contained to the basement of the house though there was smoke and water damage on the first floor. Late Saturday night Everett Fire advised that the fire was ruled accidental, started by smoking materials. The woman taken to the hospital is expected to be okay.
