Everett Neighborhood Group Promotes Day Of Service Clean Up For MLK Holiday

January 14, 2018

Events in Everett, Everett

For years United Way of Snohomish County promoted Martin Luther King Day as a Day of Service but dropped that after they changed their focus. While we couldn’t find any organized events in Everett tomorrow (Mon Jan. 15th) by the City or other local organizations we did find a neighborhood group stepping up to commit part of the day to community service. This was the message on the Bayside Neighborhood Facebook Page.

A group of neighbors are planning on walking the rectangle made by 25th, 23rd, Rucker, and Lombard to pick up the litter in our neighborhood. If any Bayside neighbors would like to join, please meet at 9 am at Clark Park, or catch everyone on the route.

Ryan Anderson has arranged the event and the City is providing bags, grabbers and vests for those participating.

If you know of an MLK event in Everett on Monday please let us know via email to news@myeverettnews.com and we will update this story with the details.
