Update 1:15 PM: Since about 8:00 AM today Everett Police have been trying to get a man to come out of an apartment near the intersection of 47th and Fowler. According to Aaron Snell with Everett Police last night a man brought a woman to the apartment home after a party and would not let her leave.

She managed to escape about 8:00 AM and contact police. Patrol officers responded and tried to speak with the man. After a couple hours apartments near the suspect’s unit were evacuated and the Regional County SWAT team was called in. Since that time police have been trying to deal with the man. We’ll keep you updated as we learn more.
