Lynnwood Man Dies In Everett Freeway Crash

The Washington State Patrol is reporting a 42-year-old Lynnwood man died in a single car crash on northbound I-5 just north of the Everett Mall early this morning.

Troopers say around 1:00 AM the man was driving a 2007 Toyota Corolla when the car went out of control and hit a right side barrier. The car then crossed all five lanes and smashed into the left barrier and ended up in the middle of the Freeway. The driver was apparently not wearing a seat belt. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers are still conducting their investigation. No word whether drugs or alcohol were a factor.
