The cold weather shelter will open tonight for the first time this year.

We just confirmed that the cold weather shelter will open for the first time this year at the Salvation Army in Everett.

The address is 2525 Rucker Avenue.

The shelter operates 8:00 PM – 7:00 AM on nights when the temperature is expected to be 32 degrees or less for four straight hours.

Doors will be open to the public between 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM.

After 10:00 PM admission is only by escort by an Everett Police Officer or Everett Firefighter.
