Socks for kids, women and men filled the lobby of McClain Insurance in Everett the first year..
Created two years ago by Everett High School grad Matt Hammerstrom, TOEvember is the time for people to donate pairs of new socks to people that are in need.
Matt finds collection sites and sets up donation stations. When the month is over the socks are distributed to organizations in the neighborhoods where they are collected.
Over just the last two years more than ten thousand pairs of socks have been collected and Hammerstrom has expanded TOEvember to other States outside of Washington.
If you’d like to help here in Everett you can drop off new clean socks at the following locations…
McClain Insurance – 10410 19th Ave SE #100 – just south of the Everett Costco store.
Sidekicks Grill and Lounge – 1709 Hewitt Avenue – in downtown Everett just east of Wetmore.
Sam’s Cats and Dogs Naturally – 11033 7th Ave. SE – just north of 112th near Silver Lake.
