Friday Farmers Market At Everett Mall Looking For Kids
By completing an activity kids can earn Kernel Kid Cash to buy their own fruits and veggies.
The KERNEL Kids Program has been added to the list of things happening at the Friday Farmers Market at the Everett Mall. Every Friday from 3-7 PM KERNEL (Kids Eating Right-Nutrition and Exercise for Life), is a project designed to engage children in learning about lifelong healthy eating habits, gardening, and exercise.
Upon completion of each day’s short activity, each child receives a $2 KERNEL CASH good for fruits and vegetables at the farmers market as well as an informational card that is connected to the activity. This week’s activity is “Bees Dancing”.
The market is located in the northwest corner of the mall parking lot between Sears and Famous Daves. In addition to fresh food vendors you’ll also find arts and crafts, beautiful flowers, great hot food to eat there or take home for Friday night dinner and a few surprises. The Friday Farmers Market runs each Friday until September 8th.
