Everett Porch Fire Quickly Contained
The fire started to climb the siding.
A fire captain and battalion chief check the damage.
Some siding is removed to make sure there is no extension into the house.
Fast response kept a porch fire contained at a house in the 8100 block of Beverly Boulevard Christmas afternoon.
Around 3:30 PM crews were called to a report of a porch fire possibly spreading into a house.
People on scene and the first arriving crew from Engine 5 were able to limit the damage to the back porch.
Some siding was pulled to make sure there was no extension into the attic of the home.
Overall the damage was minor and the people were allowed back into the house.
No official word on the cause of the fire at this time.
