Active Shooter Drill At Naval Station Everett Tuesday

You may hear gunfire at Naval Station Everett Tuesday as they hold another active shooter drill. Here’s the scoop.

Naval Station Everett will conduct a security exercise on Tuesday, Sept. 20.

Emergency response personnel will exercise procedures for a simulated active shooter attack.

Although there will be no gate closures for this exercise, the drill scenario will include simulated gun shots using blank rounds and emergency response vehicles. No real ammunition will be used.

The Navy designs such training exercises to improve readiness in preparation for possible real emergencies or disasters.
