1000 Stars On Everett’s Streets Tonight

December 11, 2015

Everett, Police Blotter

1000 stars

A firefighter checks to make sure everyone is out at this rollover on the ramp from 526 to Southbound I-5 Friday night.

If you’ve been out driving the streets of Everett tonight you may have seen an unusually large police presence.

It’s the annual Night of 1000 Stars DUI Enforcement kick off.

Between now and into the New Year there will be extra police patrols looking for drug and/or alcohol impaired drivers.

The extra patrols are made available through grants from the Washington State Traffic Safety Commission and will include members of the WSP Target Zero Team, whose goal is to reduce fatal collisions to zero by 2030.

Even Everett Police Chief Dan Templeman was among the extra officers patrolling the city’s streets Friday night.
